When researchers looked around the globe to discover which populations enjoy the longest life exptectancy, they focused on several different groups who consistently outlive the rest of us.
After they analyzed what these people were eating, they found differences among the various cultures and a variety of ways that they prepared their meals. However, there was one food all these long-lived folks had in common despite their differing lifestyles and locations throughout the world.
Now, many researchers consider this food to be “the most important dietary predictor of survival of older people of different ethnicities.”1
